Leukemia treatment options

The most common from of treatment for leukemia is chemotherapy. There are a few others that are also optional treatments including radiation therapy, bone marrow translplantation, and biological therapy.
Has anyone had any experience with any of these treatments? If so, what is your experience with them?

Teri Kennedy August 20 at 7:05 pm1 LikeI had chemo treatments in 2000 and 2006. In remission ever since. I have CLL. The last chemo really knocked it out of the park! Not expecting a comeback, at least hoping it never does. The best part of it was the weight loss, loved being skinny! Well those days are gone!

I had it two years ago and have been in remission ever since. Radiation remains an option, but not right now. I still have two rounds of chemotherapy available if I need it.

Hi Jeff! To me, partial remission sounds absolutely wonderful! But I must confess total ignorance. What is the difference between partial and total remission? Just the length of time that you are in remission or what? Are you feeling okay?
